For Carla, Calena Coffee has never been just about serving coffee—it's about serving people.

Roots in Rosenberg

After meeting in Houston, Carla and her husband Ruma chose the Richmond-Rosenberg area in 2008 to plant their roots and raise their three children: Samira, Ashley, and Nathan. They were drawn to the community's warmth, welcoming spirit, and the feeling that it was a place where a family could truly belong.
A Dream Held Together

While Carla dedicated her career to healthcare as a Medical Biller and Coder and Ruma spent years on the road as an 18-wheeler driver, they never lost sight of their shared vision — a family business built on integrity, perseverance, hospitality, and genuine human connection.
The Dream Takes Shape

In 2024, that dream took its first step with the launch of their coffee distribution company, My Classic Coffee. Soon after came Calena Coffee — a mobile coffee experience created to bring handcrafted coffee, meaningful conversations, and a welcoming atmosphere directly to the community they have proudly called home for years.
